Annual Landscape Water Balance Reporting Tool

The Landscape Water Balance Reporting Tool is designed to provide a comprehensive and consistent source of information on existing water data and landscape water balances in Australia's Drainage Divisions and River Basins. Average annual water summaries have been developed for all Drainage Divisions and River Basins in Australia.
Sources of data include the Australian Bureau of Statistics; Geosciences Australia; the National Land and Water Resources Audit; the Australian National Committee on Large Dams; the Australian National Committee - International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage; the Murray Darling Basin Commission; State Agencies and the Australian Water Resource Council.
A national landscape water balance model has been developed for reporting average annual balances for each Australian River Basin and Drainage Division. These include estimates - by land-use or land cover type - of rainfall, total evaporation, runoff, deep drainage and irrigation demand. more...
