Species

Below is a list of the major tree species used in plantations throughout Australia with its scientific and common name. Species have been divided into 'Softwood' and 'Hardwood' categories. Softwoods include exotic species such as Radiata pine as well as native species such as Hoop pine; whereas the Hardwoods include only native species such as Blue gum (Eucalyptus globulus)". A description of each of the species, its distribution and wood properties are also available
