What if I can't download map file .PMF information

Make sure that you have ArcReader or some form of GIS software installed on your machine first. Only ArcReader 9.1 or higher will open the .PMF files. Note: Depending on what you already have installed on your computer, the install may be a minimum of 62 MB or a maximum of 108 MB for a full install.

How can I make the .PMF files open more quickly?

Copy the .PMF files onto your computer. As long as you have ArcReader or GIS software on your computer you will be able to view the files.

How can I view the files on the DVD (for DVD version users)?

• Open 'My computer'
• Right click on the DVD drive
• Choose Explore and then you can select any file on the DVD

Can I download ArcReader if I am using a Mac?

ArcReader can run in a number of configurations and across a range of computing platforms for Solaris, Linux and Windows. Only the Windows Version is available for download via the internet and this DVD. Linux and Solaris versions of ArcReader are available on CD from ESRI.
