Forests Australia Report Card

Australia's State of the Forests Report (SOFR) is produced every five years. This is Australia's sustainability report on forests and represents a highly successful ongoing partnership between the Australian Government and state and territory agencies with an interest in the management of our forests. Representatives from these agencies provide substantial data to ensure that SOFR is the most comprehensive report on sustainable forest management.

The SOFR is structured on the nationally agreed Framework of Criteria and Indicators of Sustainable Forest Management. In this section, summary information is provided on the seven broad criteria that embrace the range of values the Australian community attaches to forests.
