The Bureau of Rural Sciences has produced the Country Matters ñ Social Atlas of Rural and Regional Australia using the latest ABS Population and Housing Census data to focus on the people and communities of non-metropolitan Australia. This Atlas describes the economic and social life of almost 7 million Australians who live outside the State and Territory capital cities while providing comparisons between Metropolitan and Non-metropolitan areas.
