A review of the impact of fish aggregating devices (FADs) on tuna fisheries: final report to Fisheries Resources Research Fund
Authors: D. Bromhead, et al.
The purpose of this report is to review relevant information on the biology and ecology of the three main tropical tuna species caught under FADs (bigeye, yellowfin and skipjack), how FADs impact upon their biological characteristics, and how the use of FADs in oceans adjacent to Australia are likely to impact upon the stocks exploited by Australian fishing fleets.
